History of La Tambona
CA LA TAMBONA is a 17th-18th century village house fully renovated in 2012, maintaining its charm, with stone walls, rustic floors and wooden beams, as well as all the comforts of a modern house. Ideal for families and couples looking for tranquility, relaxation and to enjoy the tourism of Vall d’Hostoles and Garrotxa.
The house was popularly called “Cal Quarro”. It was acquired in 1946 as an inheritance by Dolores Ribas and Oliveras known as “la Tambona” (Sant Feliu de Pallerols 1909-2005), their heirs wanting to name the house in tribute to their memory.
The house is located in the old part of the municipality of Sant Feliu de Pallerols, in front of Plaça del Firal, considered the nerve center of the town’s life, where the main outdoor events such as the Cavallets, the Giants and the Mulassa, gatherings, fairs and summer events.
The house also has views of the Brugent River. A tributary of the ter that crosses the municipality, giving rise to numerous springs, streams, streams, waterfalls and gorges.
It is a town steeped in history, where the revolts left their mark.
The house is spread over 3 floors and can accommodate 6 people, with 2 double bedrooms and a bedroom with 2 single beds.

Places of interest

Castle of Hostoles
It is a notable medieval fortress already documented in 1020 and the main Castle of the Vall d’Hostoles. Currently it has been reconstructed. From the top we find magnificent views of the Vall d'Hostoles.

Colltort Castle
It is located on the ridge formed by the Corb and Finestres mountain ranges at an altitude of 847 meters. Part of the castle's walls are currently preserved from where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the volcanic area of Olot.

Hermitage of Puig Alder (Sant Salvador)
It appears next to the Hostoles castle in the testament of the year 1020. It is currently the hermitage of Sant Salvador, restored a few years ago and has a small mountain refuge. There is a splendid view over the Vallac or Bastons valley.

Sant Cristófol de Cogolls
Sant Cristòfol is the parish church of the town of Cogolls (part of the municipality of Garrotxí de les Plaines). Dedicated to Christopher of Lycia, the church has been greatly modified, with a less harmonious result. Above the entrance door, which has a worked stone lintel, is a small porch covered with a roof. In the small chapel there is the date 1753.

Brugent river gorges
The Brugent River is a left tributary of the Ter River. It originates in the Serra del Corb, in the municipality of Sant Feliu de Pallarols, and runs 22 km through the counties of la Selva and la Garrotxa before flowing into the Ter a Amer.
